A Security Engineer at Evolution, the international integrated security and fire solutions business, has won the title Electronic Security Technician of the Year at the ISIA 2017 Awards for demonstrating exceptional service, performance and technical ability in the execution of his duties.
In a highly successful night for the firm, Oliver Jacobs attained the ultimate winning accolade, while his colleague, David McDonagh, was awarded a Merit. It is the first time the ISIA have had two engineers from the same company vying for the top award.
Evolution has grown significantly in the last five years, primarily as a result of its strong reputation built through a dedicated team of professional service and maintenance engineers. As well as Oliver and David, Claire Farrell was also shortlisted in the Electronic Security Supervisor of the Year category and awarded a Merit.
Evolution’s Ireland Country Manager Mark Corrigan says he is delighted for the team: “It shows how far we have come in a comparatively short space of time in establishing a team that delivers world-class installation, service and maintenance at a local level.”
Managing Director Richard Lambert agrees: “Winning an award at the same event in 2016 as the first electronic security systems company to achieve Qualsec Platinum Certification was a major achievement for Evolution. The awards this year, supported by client testimonials, demonstrate further that when it comes to electronic security in Ireland, Evolution is now the benchmark in best-practice.”
The ISIA 2017 Awards were held on Saturday 25th November 2017 at Powerscourt Hotel in the Wicklow Mountains, Ireland.
