It is with the deepest sadness we announce the passing of our good friend Ed Powell who died peacefully in his sleep at home on Wednesday 2nd August 2023. This has come as a great shock to all of us at Evolution, particularly those who worked closely with him in Ireland over the past few years. We send our sincere condolences to all his family and friends.
Ed was the life and soul of any event and the Evolution family will miss him greatly.

Evolution appoints new Group Health and Safety and Compliance Manager
Evolution has appointed Jason Misters TechIOSH, PCQI as its new Group Health and Safety and Compliance Manager.
In his new role, Jason will be responsible for driving the Health and Safety culture and ensuring that the strategy is implemented consistently across all branches of the organisation. Since joining Evolution, Jason’s immediate focus has been to implement a robust set of organisational procedures to further develop the overall safety of company employees, mitigating where possible health and safety risks, and ensuring the company is fully compliant with current legislation.
Jason previously worked for the Ministry of Defence (MoD), within the Defence Safety Authority sphere as a Senior Project Officer responsible for leading military diving training, liaising with key stakeholders across multiple disciplines.
Commenting on his appointment, Jason said: “I am pleased to be joining the Evolution team as I am looking forward to sharing my knowledge and experiences across the organisation to establish robust and coherent health and safety management systems”.
Brendan McGarrity, Director of Evolution Risk & Design, says Jason’s vast experience across the health, safety and compliance arena within the Military and Civilian sectors will be integral to the business: “In his short time with the business, Jason has already exhibited our core values, demonstrating his knowledge and expertise by improving our safety standards through new procedures.
“Throughout his career, work within the military, and Government sector Jason has consistently proven his leadership qualities, his ability to maintain rapport with all levels of stakeholders alongside his effectiveness in coaching and mentorship, and I have no doubt he will continue to do so here at Evolution. I am delighted to welcome him to the team and to develop the business in the delivery of proactive health and safety management.”
Josh Stanton starts the 2023 Season
Josh Stanton starts the 2023 Porsche Carrera Cup GB Season at Donington this weekend in the new liveried Evolution Porsche Carrera Cup racing car.
Josh has moved up a gear after winning the Amateur Category (AM) last year to Pro-Am which means he’ll be in the action all season and chasing for the Championship again.
As main sponsor and owner of the car, Evolution and Josh are pleased to be supported again by Grayson Pace (GP59) and Puffin Solutions but also this year by Autobrite Direct and Porsche Tewkesbury.
